- April 27, 2009 - The Center for Media and Public Affairs , an nonpartisan research and educational organization who has been monitoring campaign reporting since being established in 1985, showed President Obama's media coverage is the most positive ever.
In his first 50 days, the networks gave Obama more coverage than George W Bush and Bill Clinton combined - and more positive reporting for Obama than any other President in history.
During the Presidential campaign , Obama drew 68 % positive evaluations compared to 33% for Mcain.
ABC, CBS and NBC nightly newscasts devoted nearly 28 hours to Obama's presidency compared with only nearly 8 hours in the comparable period under Bush's tenure.
These same networks gave 58% of positive Obama evaluations compared with only 33% in the comparable period under Bush's tenure.

- Newspaper-industry magazine Editor & Publisher reports that 194 daily newspapers that endorsed Obama to only 82 that endorsed McCain. Circulation of Obama-endorsers is more than 20 million; circulation of pro-McCain papers is only six million
- Politico reports that Barack Obama has been an answer in New York Times crossword puzzle numerous times since 2005. John McCain Not once. The Times insists that Obama's last name, which alternates verbs and consonants, is an easier fit.
